Congratulations to Northwest High School’s Valedictorian, Rachel Edwards! Rachel shares that this achievement is especially meaningful, as becoming valedictorian has been a lifelong dream inspired by the strong women in her family. She credits her parents as her biggest supporters, describing them as her “twin pillars” who encouraged her to work hard while always reminding her she had their support. Rachel plans to attend Georgia Tech this fall to study biomedical engineering, with interests in prosthetics and possibly patent law. Reflecting on her high school experience, she says she “left it all out on the table,” embracing every opportunity along the way. We are proud to celebrate Rachel and look forward to all she will accomplish!

The Month of the Military Child, recognized every April, honors the unique challenges, quiet sacrifices, and selfless contributions of children in military families. Through it all, these children show incredible resilience and strength. 💪

Across the country, communities are encouraged to celebrate military children and raise awareness of their experiences.🫂 Make sure to wear your purple this month and on Purple Up! Day — April 15 — to show appreciation for military children and their families. 💜 Wearing purple symbolizes unity for military children across all branches of the military, and it’s an easy way to show your support and remind them that they are seen and appreciated.
