Junior Achievement is partnering with Dalton Public Schools to host their Futurefest 2020 event at the Dalton Convention Center on Friday, January 31, from 8 am to 2 pm and this is an ideal opportunity for businesses to showcase careers to high school students. Hello class of 2014: Hi everyone. I hope all of you are doing well these days. I wanted to mention a couple of upcoming community events that may be of interest to you and both of these events are being held on Saturday, Oct. 5.
Our community has been selected to host a Sesame Street 50th birthday party on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 10 am to Noon at Burr Performing Arts Park (in downtown Dalton). This will be a fun-family-free event for anyone who wants to attend. There will be games, activities, snacks, water, and a Sesame Street character appearance! You are cordially invited to attend Salvation Army of Whitfield, Murray, and Gordon Counties 70th Anniversary “Doing the Most Good” Gala. The date is also Saturday, Oct. 5, at 6:30 pm at Walnut Hill Farm. The event will feature live music, special guest speakers, honored guest, and fabulous food. Pat Thomason with the Salvation Army would like to offer graduates of the Leadership Dalton-Whitfield program a complimentary ticket to the event. If you have not yet voted, please keep in mind the Chamber of Commerce is supporting two ballot initiatives: Yes on Redevelopment Powers Law and Yes on the State Wide Referendum that will help Dalton State College.
