Charge into Fire Safety™: Safe Charging Is a Superpower.

When charging on a plane, keep portable charging devices on the tray
table. Do not charge devices in overhead compartments and never
charge e-cigarettes or vapes on a plane. If a battery overheats or fails,
it is important for the flight crew to be able to respond quickly. For more

Charge into Fire Safety™: Safe Charging Is a Superpower.

Charge on a hard, flat surface like a table, desk, or floor. Beds,
couches, and pillows can trap heat and block airflow, which can
cause a battery to overheat. For more info: fpw.org.

It's Homecoming time! Keeping students safe on a Homecoming night requires clear communication, careful planning, and cooperation between schools, parents, and teens.

Homecoming Safety Tips for Teens and Parents

Student Best Practices ---------------------
• Stay connected: Keep your cell phone fully charged and carry a portable charger.
• Look out for peers: Make an agreement with friends to monitor and stay with each other all evening.
• Buckle Up. “The seat belt is wrinkling my dress,” or “it’s crushing my suit jacket” are not excuses to skip wearing a seat belt. Seat belts save lives and wearing them is mandated by the law, so click it or get a ticket.
• No Texting and Driving!

Parent and Guardian Guidelines ---------------------
• Open communication
• Know the itinerary
• Know who's providing the transportation
• Have an Emergency plan
