After almost five years at Stansberry Bolivia the return to the States is bittersweet. I had the incredible blessing of sharing many special moments in my last two weeks in Bolivia. So many goodbyes, so many meaningful relationships. I walk away from my time Bolivia very impacted and leaving behind more than a small piece of my heart. I know I will be back, the question is how soon. I pray that it is sooner rather than later. Thanks to everyone who has held me up during the journey. Thanks for your prayers, your support, your friendship, phone calls, small gifts, kind words. God is faithful in every single season. For me I'm closing one chapter and starting another
I'm very excited to be starting pastoral ministry at Cornerstone Church of Harrisonburg. I'm currently in a season of transition. I will begin my ministry there in March of 2026. I only ask that the Lord be as faithful in this coming season, as he has been with me in the past. Cheers to the goodness of the Lord and His awesome plans for the future.

The search for the perfect mango is always on. The weather is getting warmer in Santa Cruz and that means it's almost mango season and Christmas is right around the corner! Even though we celebrate in the heat Christmas is always a special time of remembering our Lords birth and sharing our own unique Stansberry's traditions together. Prayers for Bolivia as the country goes to the polls Today to elect a new president. The economic situation continues to be very complicated. Whatever the result of the election, Bolivia´s new leader will have a lot of work to do. Pray that the Lord would raise up a president of character and honesty. Pray for the many people who are struggling to make ends meet as there has been massive inflation over the past year.

The South American country is dealing with very high inflation ahead of its latest general election.

It's near the end of the first semester of the school year for the kids at Stansberry's. Everyone is working hard getting ready for exams. There is lots of studying going on at the moment! Please keep them in your prayers.

Meet Irai, a long time friend and supporter of the Stansberry Children's Home. Irai first came to know the home while working in the church next door and was a great mentor to our teenagers at the Home. He has since moved to Canada where he is a Social Worker working in Northern Manitoba. Irai participated in our Bolivia to Brazil cycling fundraiser ten years ago. He is an avid cyclist and is wanting to again ride his bike to raise money in support of Stansberry's. The last two weeks of August Irai will be riding his bike from the US/Canada border at Emerson to Thompson, Manitoba thru his home town of Swan River. He will ride a total of 1321 km or 820 miles in 7 days. The money from this fundraiser will go towards replacing the white toyata truck we bought used in 1997. The toyota is used on a weekly basis to do our shopping runs to the local market where we bring home several hundred pounds of fruits and vegtables. The rest of the week the toyota is used as a people mover for appointments or on escursions, to move animals and purchase feed. It's used for maintenance runs and in genaral to move anything at all! Several people have learned how to drive in this truck and it holds many fond memories. Sadly it's time to replace the toyota with something more reliable. The estimated cost to replace it is $30000 USD or $41128 CAD. If this is something you would like to help with please consider sponsoring Irai in his efforts.
