Baseball in the Berkshires We present exhibits and educational programs that will tell the story of Baseball in the Berkshires.

“Baseball in the Berkshires: A County’s Common Bond” is a non-profit organization who’s mission is to bring the residents and friends of Berkshire County together to assist in telling the story of Baseball in
the Berkshires. The organization will deliver programming that will highlight the cultural and historical part of Baseball in the Berkshires and at the same time offering educational programming to all age groups.

1. 1997 - The Pittsfield Mets won the New York-Penn League title after finishing with a record of 42-32.
2. They won their first round playoff against Erie and then defeated Batavia in the finals under the leadership of Manager Doug Davis.
3. Pitcher Scott Comer was on the All-Star Team and led the league with 98 strikeouts.

1. 1996 - The Pittsfield Mets finish second in the McNamara Division of the New York Penn League under Manager Doug Davis.
2. Their record was 46-29 and they lost in the first round of the play-offs to Vermont.
3. Met outfielder Danny Ramirez was the lone Met named to the All-Star team.
