Today marks the one-year anniversary of the tragedy on Canfield Mountain in Coeur d'Alene, where we lost Battalion Chief John Morrison and Battalion Chief Frank Harwood in an ambush attack.

I attended the memorial service today with a client who is a retired member of the Coeur d'Alene Fire Department. The ceremony was well attended by the community, which has shown incredible support for the families and our firefighters throughout the past year. It was truly heartwarming to hear the messages of hope, strength, and gratitude shared by John’s son, Joe, and Frank’s wife, Meghan.

We will always remember their sacrifice, continue to support their families, and move forward together.
