What a sweet time we had last Friday celebrating Julie Andrews’ 91st birthday with our friends at In Good Company Respite! Our morning exercise time ended with a lively conga line, and lunch wrapped up with a spoonful of sugar. It was a wonderful day, filled with laughter, music, and friendship!

We had so much fun celebrating our friend, Janet’s birthday last Friday! We also introduced our newest Big Game- Octaband!

Last Friday, we celebrated Karl‘s birthday! We enjoyed looking at his photos while he, his daughter, and granddaughter narrated the stories behind them. Karl grew up in Mannheim, Germany until he was 15 years old. His family then moved to Burbank California, where he met many celebrities and was even on a first name basis with Ronald Reagan! Karl worked as a smog technician in the Los Angeles area. Every Friday, we look forward to seeing the creativity of Karl’s art projects and watching how he makes the balloon dance while playing volleyball! Happy birthday, Karl!

Last Friday, In Good Company Respite attendees reminisced about what “Back to School” was like for them. Many memories were awakened as we talked about everything from our favorite metal lunchbox characters to our favorite classes to whether we walked to school or rode the bus. As always we started with exercise, enjoyed a yummy lunch, played another “Big Game” and closed out this day with beautiful music provided by Suzanne. Thank you to everyone who likes, comments, and supports In Good Company! We are blessed by you!
