Guitars 4 Vets - Dallas A 501 (c) (3) non profit organization that enhances the lives of ailing and injured military Veterans by providing them free guitars and music instruction.

Our primary focus is using the healing power of music to help our veterans. Whether we agree or disagree with the decision to go to war, one thing is for certain: there are men and women who bravely fight for and honorably represent our country. As a consequence of war, many of our soldiers come home with physical and emotional injuries. They need our help.

THE 11TH MISSION! No Veteran Walks Alone. The uniform may be hanging in the closet, but our commitment to one another never expires. On the 11th of every month, we're asking our community to accept The 11th Mission.

Your mission is simple:
📞 Call a veteran.
📱 Send a text.
☕ Grab coffee.
👂 Ask for their SITREP not just "How are you?" but "How are you really doing?"

Sometimes one conversation can remind someone they haven't been forgotten.
You never know what battle someone is fighting behind a smile.

If you or someone you know is struggling, don't fight the battle alone.
📞 Veterans Crisis Line: Dial 988, then press 1 (or text 838255) for immediate, confidential support 24/7.
📞 LifePath Systems Crisis Hotline (Collin County): 1-877-422-5939 Available 24 hours a day for anyone experiencing a mental health crisis.

The mission didn't end when we came home.
It simply changed. Accept the 11th Mission. Make the call. Change a life!

On this day in 1782, George Washington created the Purple Heart, originally known as the Badge of Military Merit. Since then, more than 1.8 million Purple Hearts have been awarded to service members who were wounded or killed in service to our country.

This Purple Heart Day, let's take a moment to remember and honor the brave men and women behind every medal and the sacrifices they made for our nation.
