BIRTHDAY PRESS STATEMENT

Ambassador Steve Nwose Calls on Nigerians to Unite, Get Their PVCs, and Use Their Votes to Build a Better Nigeria

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
July 17, 2026

Dallas, Texas — As I celebrate my birthday today, I give thanks to Almighty God for the gift of life and the opportunity to continue serving humanity. This occasion is not only a personal celebration but also a renewed commitment to the progress, unity, and future of our beloved nation, Nigeria.

Nigeria stands at a defining moment in its history. The challenges before us require the courage, commitment, and participation of every Nigerian. The responsibility of rebuilding our nation cannot be left in the hands of a few; it requires all of us working together.

I therefore call on every Nigerian, both at home and in the diaspora, to take an active role in the future of our country by registering to vote, obtaining their Permanent Voter Card (PVC), encouraging family members and communities to do the same, and ensuring that they participate peacefully on election day.

Our votes are our voices. Our participation matters. A better Nigeria will not happen by chance; it will happen when citizens take responsibility and demand accountability through the democratic process.

To our Nigerian youths, who represent the future of our nation, I say: this is your moment. Your energy, creativity, and courage are needed now more than ever. Do not stand on the sidelines while decisions are made about your future. Get involved, speak up, and become active participants in building the Nigeria you desire.

Beyond political differences, ethnicity, or religion, we must remember that Nigeria belongs to all of us. The future we want for our children and grandchildren depends on the choices we make today.

As I mark another year of life, my prayer and greatest wish is for a Nigeria where justice prevails, opportunities are available, leadership serves the people, and every citizen can live with dignity and hope.

Let us unite. Let us participate. Let us make our voices count.

God bless Nigeria. God bless all Nigerians around the world.

Signed,

Ambassador Steve E. Nwose

Speak Up Nigerians USA: Our Role Toward the 2027 Elections

The 2027 general election presents another opportunity for Nigerians to determine the future of our nation. As a forum committed to promoting good governance, accountability, and civic responsibility, our mission is not to campaign for any political party or candidate. Our mission is to empower Nigerians with knowledge, encourage active citizenship, and demand leadership that puts the people first.

Our Core Responsibilities

1. Educate Nigerians
* Promote civic education and constitutional awareness.
* Explain the importance of voting and democratic participation.
* Help citizens understand the qualities of credible leadership.
2. Encourage Voter Registration
* Mobilize eligible Nigerians to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
* Share accurate information about voter registration and election processes.
3. Promote Issue-Based Politics
* Shift conversations from ethnicity, religion, and political loyalty to issues such as security, education, healthcare, agriculture, electricity, infrastructure, and the economy.
4. Demand Accountability
* Hold elected leaders accountable for their promises.
* Encourage transparency and responsible governance at all levels.
5. Combat Misinformation
* Promote verified information.
* Discourage fake news, propaganda, and hate speech.
6. Engage Young People
* Inspire youths to become informed voters, community leaders, and agents of positive change.
* Encourage constructive participation rather than political violence.
7. Advocate Peaceful Elections
* Promote peaceful campaigns and respect for democratic institutions.
* Encourage citizens to reject violence, intimidation, and vote-buying.

Our Message

We believe Nigeria deserves competent, accountable, and visionary leadership. We encourage every Nigerian to examine candidates based on their integrity, competence, character, experience, and commitment to serving the people—not based on ethnicity, religion, political party, or financial inducements.

Our voice will remain independent, principled, and committed to the common good. Together, we can help build a Nigeria where leadership is earned through service and where every citizen has the opportunity to thrive.

Our slogan:
“Educate the People. Inspire Participation. Demand Accountability. Build a Better Nigeria.”

Peter Obi's ambition to lead Nigeria in 2027 reflects his continued commitment to public service and his belief that the country can achieve better governance. His emphasis on accountability, prudent management of public resources, and investment in education, security, and economic growth has resonated with many Nigerians. As the democratic process unfolds, his candidacy contributes to healthy political competition and gives voters another opportunity to evaluate different visions for Nigeria's future.
