This is what it looks like to Bee the Change. 🐝🗳️

Little Elm High School Student Council reached out to the Texas Youth Voter Project with a goal: bring voter registration directly to their fellow students.

They advocated with their school leadership, helped make it happen, and brought TYVP onto their campus to register eligible students ahead of the October 5 voter registration deadline.

And one of the best parts? Some of the Student Council members who made this possible aren’t even old enough to register to vote yet.

Because making a difference doesn’t start when you turn 18. Civic engagement is about using your voice, taking initiative, and finding ways to make an impact in your community — right now.

These students did exactly that.

They didn’t wait for change. They made it happen. 🐝

He’s out in the community asking: Why is voting important to you? 🗳️ He even caught up with Dallas legend DeDe in the Morning DeDe McGuire -Dope Radio Chick to hear her answer! 🎙️

Big shoutout to Nestor for bringing the energy, starting conversations, and getting people talking about why voting matters to them.

Meeting students where they are. Making voter registration easy and accessible. And making sure young Texans know that their voices matter.

Another incredible day of students taking that first step toward becoming lifelong voters. From filling out their applications to proudly holding them up when they’re done, THIS is why we do this work.

One student, one campus, one new voter at a time. We’re building something BIG across Texas.

Over 4,000 registered and counting. And we’re just getting started. 🐝

Today we got her registered and ready to vote for the very first time. Moments like this are exactly why we do what we do.

From 17-year-old volunteer to first-time voter; and now, a national voice. 🗳️

Gema first reached out to the Texas Youth Voter Project at 17, before she was even old enough to register to vote. She had seen the work we were doing in her Oak Cliff community and wanted to be part of it.

When she turned 18, we had the privilege of registering her to vote. She then helped TYVP create a campaign to help other young people understand what they need to register to vote at their schools.

Tomorrow at 5 PM CT, Gema will be featured on Special Report with Bret Baier on Fox News, sharing her perspective as a first-time voter and young Mexican American woman from Oak Cliff — including why immigration is the issue that matters most to her as she prepares to cast her first ballot.

We could not be prouder.

Our job is never to tell young people what to think or how to vote. It’s to make sure they have the access, information and confidence to use their own voices.

From Oak Cliff to a national audience, Gema is using hers. 🐝🗳️

We’ve registered over 4,000+ young Texans and counting, but there are still so many voices that deserve to be heard.
