🌊🙌 Want to make a difference for White Rock Lake and meet some amazing people? We need YOU!

We're looking for volunteers to help support our Second Saturday Shoreline Spruce-Up (S4) on Saturday, June 13. This is a great opportunity to get involved behind the scenes, meet fellow lake lovers, and connect with FTLOTL volunteers and board members. 💚

🗓 Saturday, June 13
📍 8007 Northwest Hwy, Dallas
🕗 8 AM – 12 PM

✨ Volunteer Support Shifts:
🌞 7:30 AM – 9:30 AM
🌞 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Volunteer duties include helping distribute supplies, welcoming participants, and supporting our cleanup crews throughout the morning. No experience necessary;we'll show you the ropes!

🌿 Of course, as usual, you're also welcome to participate in the cleanup itself!

🗑 Grab supplies and help keep White Rock Lake fresh, clean, and beautiful.
⏰ Return trash grabbers by 11:45 AM.

🚣 Looking to get out on the water? Our Padillacs crew will be tackling trash from canoes and kayaks, helping reach areas that can't be accessed from shore.

💙 Whether you're handing out supplies, picking up litter, paddling the shoreline, or cheering on fellow volunteers, there's a place for you at S4.

Together, we can preserve and enhance White Rock Lake Park for future generations. 🌳✨

White Rock Lake Trail Along Garland Road To Be Temporarily Closed

Dallas Water Utilities (DWU) has scheduled construction work in collaboration with the Parks and Recreation and Transportation and Public Works departments for the grouting of approximately 2,800 feet of an abandoned 36-inch diameter wastewater main adjacent to Garland Road and White Rock Trail between E. Lawther Drive and San Rafael Drive. As you are aware, a sinkhole next to the trail was observed over the abandoned line earlier this year and was immediately backfilled....

Goats on the Ground: A Natural Solution at White Rock Lake

For the Love of the Lake, in partnership with the White Rock Lake Conservancy, recently funded an extension of the goat grazing project at White Rock Lake Park—bringing a unique and eco-friendly solution to a persistent environmental challenge. Approximately 300 goats were deployed from the Bath House to Boy Scout Hill for over 10 days, targeting invasive privet. 💚 Show Some Love to White Rock Lake! 💚

Join us this Saturday, November 8, for our Second Saturday Shoreline Spruce-Up (S4)! With gorgeous weather ahead, it’s the perfect day to get outdoors, roll up your sleeves, and make a difference. ☀️🧤

📍 Where: 8007 Northwest Hwy, Dallas, TX 75238
🕗 When: 8 AM – 12 PM

Two fun ways to help:
🌿 Shoreline Crew: Just show up! There's no registration needed! We’ll provide gloves, grabbers, and bags.
🚣 Padillacs: For experienced paddlers! Pre-register by Friday, Nov 7 at noon to join our water-based cleanup crew. Canoes and kayaks are available (first come, first served).

💧Don’t forget water, sun protection, and closed-toe shoes. Every bag of trash collected helps keep our lake clean and thriving!
