KOK 2026 👟🎄🎅

Help us bring holiday joy to 500 local children! 👟🎁

Pasos for Oak Cliff is seeking sponsors and toy drive partners for Kicks of Kindness, our annual holiday event providing children with brand-new shoes, toys, and a joyful holiday experience.

This December, we’re inviting businesses, organizations, and community groups to get involved:

🎄 Become a sponsor to help provide new shoes and support the event.
🎁 Host a toy drive at your workplace, business, or community space to collect gifts for participating children.

It’s a meaningful way to bring your team together while supporting local families facing financial hardship.

Interested in sponsoring or hosting a toy drive? Email [email protected] to connect with us!

Please share this opportunity with someone who would love to get involved.

Methodist Hospital Tour 🏥🩺

Today, our Pasos All Stars students and some parents had an incredible opportunity to go behind the scenes at Methodist Health System and explore the many career pathways available in healthcare!

From learning about radiology, CT scans, and MRI technology to experiencing virtual medical education, our students got a firsthand look at the technology and people helping save lives every day! 🧠💻

We also had the opportunity to connect with a Human Resources representative who shared valuable insight into career opportunities, qualifications, and what it takes to become part of the Methodist team.

A HUGE thank you to Methodist Health System for opening your doors to our students and families, and for investing in the next generation of healthcare professionals! ❤️

We’re also excited to announce that Methodist will be joining us as a 2027 Pasos for Oak Cliff sponsor! 🎉

We’re grateful for your continued commitment to creating opportunities for youth in our community.

Week 2 | Acting Workshop ✅🎭

This week, our special guest was Ms. Free, Mikaela Free—an actress, producer, writer, and an overall amazing human!

She led our students through an acting workshop focused on college and career readiness. Students practiced using their voices, body language, emotions, and active listening skills before working together to rehearse and perform short scenes.

Acting is about more than memorizing lines. It builds confidence, communication, teamwork, empathy, and the ability to think on your feet—skills our students can carry into interviews, presentations, college classrooms, and future careers.

Thank you, Ms. Free, for sharing your experience, creativity, and encouragement with our Pasos All Stars! 👏🏽⭐
