Congratulations to Dallas Citizens Council member Lyda Hill on being named to TIME's list of the world’s most influential philanthropists.

Lyda’s leadership and dedication to supporting transformative work across science, education and community initiatives continue to shape Dallas’ future and inspire impact well beyond our region.

"Being included with so many inspiring philanthropists, including 13 fellow Texans, is especially exciting," Hill said. "I think it says a great deal about the culture of giving in Texas. Texans care deeply about their communities, and there is a longstanding spirit of generosity, service, and stepping up to help others. It’s wonderful to see that recognized on such a prestigious list."

We are grateful for her continued commitment to strengthening communities through innovation and philanthropy.

The growing attention around “Y’all Street” underscores the strength of the Dallas business community and the leadership helping drive long-term economic growth across the region.

DCC member Suzan Kedron and other leaders are helping shape conversations around the region’s economic future, while DCC member organizations like the Texas Stock Exchange continue to strengthen Dallas’ position in the global marketplace.

Kedron said the installation of a ticker sign on the exterior of Bank of America Tower will be a symbol that it's "Dallas' time."

The lease confirmation comes as the Oak Lawn Committee received more information on a proposed ticker signs outside Bank of America Tower at Parkside.

Continued population growth across Dallas-Fort Worth reflects the region’s economic strength, opportunity and long-term momentum.

As North Texas continues to lead the nation in growth, sustained investment in infrastructure, housing, workforce development and regional collaboration will remain essential to supporting thriving communities and a strong economy.

The continued success of Dallas-Fort Worth highlights the importance of forward-looking leadership and strategic planning to ensure the region remains competitive, connected and prepared for future growth.

Many of the country’s fastest growing cities are in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro region, according to census data released Thursday, even as growth in Dallas proper lagged.

The opening of Halperin Park represents another important investment in downtown Dallas and the continued transformation of public spaces that strengthen connectivity, community and quality of life across the urban core.

Projects like this are made possible through collaboration among civic, business and development leaders committed to creating vibrant spaces that support the city’s long-term growth and vitality.

DCC member companies HKS Architects and McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. helped bring this vision to life, contributing to a project that will serve residents, visitors and downtown workers for years to come.

The $300 million Halperin Park includes a performance shell, amphitheater, great lawn and elevated overlooks with skyline views.

In 1993, Dallas Citizens Council member Robert Hoffman helped lead efforts with the Dallas City Council to approve the Dallas Plan — a long-term vision for the city’s growth, infrastructure, and future investment needs.

A key part of that plan was the Trinity River Corridor project, which helped shape decades of redevelopment, parks, transportation, and community investment across Dallas.

More than 30 years later, Dallas is still benefiting from that forward-thinking leadership and vision.

Creating pathways to meaningful employment strengthens families, communities and the long-term economic future of Dallas.

The work highlighted by the South Dallas Employment Project demonstrates what is possible when nonprofit leaders, employers, workforce partners and civic institutions collaborate to expand opportunity for North Texans seeking a second chance and a stable career pathway.

Programs that connect residents to training, transportation, housing support and employment are helping build a stronger workforce while supporting safer and more resilient communities across our region.

Dallas business leaders continue to play an important role in these efforts, including DCC member and Vistra Corp. president and CEO Jim Burke. Vistra’s partnership is helping to create opportunities for individuals rebuilding their lives through meaningful work.

This kind of civic leadership and cross-sector collaboration helps move Dallas forward.

The South Dallas Employment Project is building public and private partnerships to uplift Dallas’ unemployed, underemployed and unemployable.

DCC member organization Fifth Third Bank is evaluating options to expand its North Texas footprint, including potential office space in uptown, downtown and Preston Center, as part of its broader growth strategy in the region.

Brian Enzler, the bank’s North Texas region president and DCC member, emphasized the company’s commitment to establishing a strong and lasting presence in Dallas, with plans to scale operations alongside continued population and business growth.

Strategic investment in financial services and corporate infrastructure reinforces Dallas’ position as a leading business hub. As companies grow and evolve, thoughtful decisions about office location and workforce presence remain key to sustaining a dynamic and competitive regional economy.

From Frisco to Dallas, Fifth Third Bank is laying groundwork for a major regional presence following its Comerica deal.
