Howdy Uptowners!

The 6th Annual Mambo Miles 5K is taking over Uptown tomorrow morning, and we want to help you plan ahead 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

If you’re heading out, please be aware that temporary road closures will be in place throughout portions of the district. We also ask everyone to drive carefully, be patient, and please be mindful of participants throughout the morning!

• 7:00 AM – Klyde Warren Park opens
• 7:35 AM – Pre-race stretch & warm-up
• 7:45 AM – Pre-race announcements
• 8:00 AM – 5K begins + Tequila Garden, Mi Cocina, Food Trucks & La Parada open
• 9:00 AM – Awards presentation
• 11:00 AM – Event concludes

Community Soccer Clinic & Scrimmage Alert! ⚽💙

Join us for a special morning of soccer with Men's & Women's Soccer!

This Saturday, July 18th, Uptown Dallas Inc., in partnership with Play For All Foundation and SMU Soccer, is hosting a free Play For All Soccer Clinic for children affected by autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

SMU student-athletes will lead a fun, interactive soccer skills clinic before joining participants for a community scrimmage.

⚽ Soccer Skills Clinic: 9:30–10:30 AM
🥅 Community Scrimmage: 10:30–11:00 AM

If you have a child who would enjoy participating, or know a family who might, we'd love to welcome them! Registration is free, but space is limited to 25 participants, and we have just a few spots remaining.

Not participating? We'd still love to have you there! Come cheer on these incredible kids during the scrimmage from 10:30–11:00 AM. Bring a sign, make some noise, and help create an unforgettable morning of encouragement and community.

Because the best public spaces and the best games are the ones where everyone has a place.

Today, we honor the men and women of the Dallas Police Department who continue to serve and protect our community every day.

On this day especially, we remember the five Dallas police officers who made the ultimate sacrifice on July 7, 2016. Their courage, service, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
