💠 Two years ago, on May 30, 2024, as the student movement for Pales-tine faced intensifying repression across American universities, Ma*tyr Im@m Kh@menei (ra) sent a letter that reframed the moment entirely. He told those students they were no longer sympathizers on the sidelines — that they had formed a branch of the Resistance Front and that their struggle was honorable. He recommended the Quran, and he connected their awakening to a longer arc of truth breaking through the walls of global propaganda.

A Muslim woman and community organizer in DFW was driving home on Mother’s Day when a bullet tore through her windshield, through her child’s car seat where his head or chest would have been, and into the trunk of her vehicle.

This was not treated with the urgency it deserved. Despite the severity of the incident, law enforcement told the family the shooting was “random,” informed them there would be no investigation, and discouraged recovery of the bullet itself. A family member later dismantled the trunk and recovered the bullet intact.
We refuse to normalize this violence.

At a time when Muslim communities and outspoken advocates for justice are facing escalating harassment, intimidation, and dehumanization, incidents like this cannot be dismissed without serious investigation.

We are calling for accountability, transparency, and a full investigation into what may have been a targeted attack or hate crime.

If you witnessed anything or have access to surveillance footage from I-35 near Empire Central on May 11 around 5:23 PM, please come forward.

Shias For Justice is one of 30 organizations that are part of the DFW May Day Coalition this year for International Workers Day.

It is a day when our movements unequivocally come together, whether it be the labor movement, the immigrants rights movement, or the anti war movement to have one voice united in action.

The words of our dear ma*ty*ed leader (ra) on workers:
