The Association fosters local, national and international amateur volleyball competitions.

Dallas Independent Volleyball Association (DIVA) is one of the largest LGBTQ+ sports organizations in the nation and the largest adult volleyball league in Texas with divisions for all skill levels. The Dallas Independent Volleyball Association, referred to as “Association” or “DIVA,” is a Dallas-based, Internal Revenue Service (IRS) 501©(7) non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of quality amateur volleyball of all levels of play for persons of any s*x, race, color, creed, s*xual orientation, ethnicity or national origin, without prejudice, and with special emphasis placed on the participation of members of the gay community. The Association also supports and develops amateur athletes for such competition. The Association fosters positive social activity in and encourages charitable activities for the gay and le***an community.

We recently held our first Volleyball 201, spending a successful two hours scrimmaging with members of Competitive, Skilled, Advanced, Power, and Elite. 🏐
Participants were excited to learn and ask questions, and our upper division mentors did a great job of guiding and giving advice on the spot as we played volleyball. We look forward to the next offering, and having an even bigger turnout!

👻Are you ready for spooky season?👻

DIVA After Dark is three weeks away and we’re bringing it to you in a creepy cool new format.
Get ready for DIVA After Dark: Game Show on Saturday, Oct. 10th, at JRs @ 7pm.

There will be drag performances, trivia, head to head games and more. Just like years previous we will have performances and all tips will go straight to our charity of choice. This year our beneficiary is Silver Pride Project

So, we need your help. We are looking for a team of 3 DIVA members to go head to head in a family feud like game show. If you’re interested please message us or email the Director of Outreach at [email protected].

🌈Happy Pride, DIVAs!🌈

For many, pride is an annual party, a time to see friends, and even a time to grab some beads! For us, pride is all of that and more. It’s also a time of reflection, hope, and connection. We hope that every DIVA of the rainbow continues to find a home in DIVA and is able to always see our organization as a safe place. Our promise is that we will continually strive to build a healthy environment for competition, a community where you can be your true self, and a home away from home.

Pride in Dallas is THIS SUNDAY, and we’d love to have our members come out and represent DIVA with us!

The Pride in Dallas Parade kicks off at 2:00 PM, and DIVA is entry #36, located at the corner of Douglas Ave. & Rawlins St. a block north of Kroger.

If you’d like to walk with DIVA in the parade and help hand out goodies to the crowd, please arrive at our lineup location wearing your favorite pride outfits no later than 1:30 PM.

Come show your DIVA pride, celebrate our community, and help us make some noise on Cedar Springs! Whether you’re a longtime member or new to DIVA, we’d love to have you walking alongside us.
