You're Invited to Unleash Your Creativity at Raise Your Voice Summer Camp!!!

We are back!!!! Get ready to embark on an exciting journey filled with creativity, imagination, and artistic expression! We are thrilled to extend a warm invitation to our annual Summer Camp.

Dates: June 4-14, 2024
Location: South Dallas Cultural Center

What to Expect:

Creative Workshops: Dive into a variety of artistic disciplines, including painting, drawing, and photography Our experienced instructors will guide you through hands-on activities designed to unleash your inner artist and inspire your imagination.

Collaborative Projects: Connect with fellow campers who share your passion for the arts. Collaborate on group projects, discuss, and exchange ideas in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Outdoor Inspiration: Take advantage of our beautiful outdoor surroundings to find inspiration for your artwork.

Fun and Friendship: Beyond the arts, our camp offers various recreational activities and games. Make new friends, create lasting memories, and let your creativity soar!

Our Summer Arts Camp is open to artists of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced creators. Whether you're a budding Picasso or just looking to explore your artistic side, our camp has a place for you.

For four weeks students will learn about the wonderful contributions of the African diaspora in art. They will explore photography, music, art, dance and spoken word. Each day they will be led by near peer instructors, community volunteers and industry professionals to engage in hands-on, multimedia activities that will help them develop observation and technical skills in drawing, painting, printmaking, and various other art mediums. For 4 weeks students will learn about painting, dance, poetry, photography, music production and other various forms of art! 3 meals per day, transportation for field trips, and technology devices will be provided! To register for this event, parents / guardians will need to complete this application by providing student information and parent contact information.

A panel discussion on reimagining what it means to be Black in America, will follow, and will include remarks from Raise Your Voice Academy founder Dr. Jaime Kowlessar.
