David A. Dreyer: Cenote—Resonant Light
 Dreyer’s tenth solo exhibition with the gallery brings together 16 paintings developed over four years, exploring celestial bodies, sacred sites, and the light that connects and unifies them all. The work draws on Dreyer’s roots in the Texas and New Mexico landscape, refining the space between memory, dream, and invention.

Congratulations to Emmaline Landes of Southern Methodist University, this year’s Showcase winner, and to all eleven finalists for sharing their work with CADD galleries throughout the month of September.

Thank you to our underwriters for making the Showcase possible, to the faculty who nominated their students, and to every MFA student who applied. To everyone who came out to listen to the artists, ask questions, cast a vote, and spend the afternoon with us, thank you for showing these artists how much the Dallas art community is behind them!

Bardin Gallery opens its inaugural exhibition this Saturday✨

New American Gothic Taking Grant Wood’s American Gothic as its point of departure, Bardin Gallery’s debut exhibition brings together gallery and independent artists reconsidering the familiar through mystery, isolation, tension, and decay. The show introduces the gallery’s new curatorial direction, exploring the darker undercurrents of contemporary American experience.

Bardin Gallery heads to New York this month!

Common Ground Co-curated by William Bardin and Peter Drake, Common Ground brings together eight painters whose distinct approaches to landscape find unexpected connections through place, memory, atmosphere, and perception. The exhibition embraces each artist’s differences, letting varied ways of seeing the landscape create a shared dialogue.

�Between Worlds brings together Waggoner's sculptural porcelain and Rogers' underwater photography, exploring the space between the physical and the imagined. Through material, light, and movement, the works move between earth and water, stillness and motion, transforming the tangible into something otherworldly.

ULTERIOR MOTIFS�
Ro2 Art and Wheeler Bros Studios present the 16th installation of Ulterior Motifs, the long-running Texas group exhibition conceived by Jeffrey and Bryan Wheeler in Lubbock in 1999. This edition marks its first return since UM15 in 2016, and features improvisational works the Wheeler brothers created by passing drawings, paintings, and sculptures back and forth with each participating artist over several months.

DAVID WILLBURN: Surface�Willburn transforms the painted surface into a place of construction, concealment, and revelation. Through an inventive use of unconventional materials and labor-intensive processes, he investigates abstraction, memory, and nostalgia while challenging conventional definitions of painting.

RADICAL VISION�Curated by Missy Finger of PDNB Gallery in Denton, this group exhibition of black-and-white photography spans six decades, tracing how photography evolved beyond documenting a single moment into a site of experimentation, abstraction, and perceptual inquiry.
