National Stuttering Association Dallas Adult Chapter

National Stuttering Association Dallas Adult Chapter If you are looking for personal support, information, or a safe place to practice your speech, the Dallas Chapter is here to help. We hope you can join us.

The National Stuttering Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing hope and empowerment to children and adults who stutter, their families, and professionals through support, education, advocacy, and research. As a chapter of the National Stuttering Association, the largest support group in the United States for people who stutter, the Dallas Chapter supports people who stutter

through its meetings, socials and workshops. Our activities give chapter members an opportunity to develop friendships with other people that intimately understand the challenges that we, as people who stutter, face every day. The Dallas Chapter is affiliated with other stuttering-related groups around the Dallas Area: TWST (Teens Who STutter), and NSA Chat & Chew (monthly social event). Want to know more? A new book about stuttering, from our very own David Alpuche, is out now! The book answers the most common questions we are asked as people who stutter, with input from people from all over the world.

Read about it below and get your copy on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Bookshop.org!

David Alpuche is no stranger to the stuttering community. Now, he's bringing a lifetime of insights (with collaboration from the stuttering community worldwide) with his new book, “1000 Answers: What Everyone Should Know About Stuttering.” What started as a simple list of student questions during panels at the NSA Dallas Chapter has become a powerful resource for people who stutter of all ages.

“Whether you’re a person who stutters or a professional working with us, I hope this book helps you feel more knowledgeable and prepared to take on whatever challenges come your way.”
