On his talk show called, M2 The ROCK, he shares how he went from building luxury homes to being homeless. Alcohol, and crime. And absolute chaos. He accumulated 27 mugshots in four years and was about to enter a place he swore he would never go: prison. Addiction was Michael’s temporary solution to heal from a dark childhood trauma secret. Little did he know that being imprisoned and reading and writing for inmates that could not set him free. Michael is the host of M2 THE ROCK, a popular podcast and show that dives into the topics of trauma, process addiction, alcoholism, drug addiction, parental education/intervention, addiction education, codependency, enabling, 12-Step Programs, religious trauma, sexual abuse, physical abuse, mental abuse, self-sabotaging, and spirituality. Michael’s main message is simple and profound: “That We Are All Addicts”. Click Here for a 9 Minute Film by I Am Second: https://youtu.be/efZ7chZUjhs?si=qA5esMGFBiWgl6bt

Today I realized God is truly our Redeemer — the Restorer of every loss. He is Lord over all things, even over our days and our dreams, even over the parts of our past we wish we could rewrite.

When we surrender our past to Him, He has the power to redeem the years we wasted, the opportunities we missed, and the pain we carried. He can make up for everything we thought was gone forever. He removes the shame that once defined us and fills the empty places in our hearts with His healing, His presence, and His love.

What the enemy meant for destruction, God can turn into purpose. What we lost in darkness, God can return in His light. He is the God who restores — fully, completely, and personally.

The Gift of Forgiveness

by Michael Molthan

Forgiveness is not weakness—it’s freedom. When we hold on to resentment, we chain ourselves to the very pain we long to escape. But when we forgive, we release both the other person and ourselves.

God’s Word reminds us, “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” — Ephesians 4:32

Forgiveness doesn’t say, “What you did was okay.” It says, “I refuse to let what you did define me.” The moment we surrender our hurt to God, He exchanges it for peace that surpasses all understanding.

My Reflection:
There was a time I thought forgiving meant losing. But I learned it’s actually victory—the victory of love over bitterness, grace over judgment, and faith over fear.

Application:
Today, think of one person or situation that still weighs on your heart. Pray for them. Release them. And thank God for the freedom that comes when you forgive.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for the gift of forgiveness—both the one You’ve given me through Jesus and the one You’ve empowered me to give to others. Help me walk in grace, not grudges, and live in the freedom of Your love. Amen.

“Only God Can Take Felons and Turn Them into Phenomenons”

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new is here!” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

My Personal Reflection

I’ve seen firsthand how God specializes in the impossible. The world calls them felons—God calls them chosen. The same hands that once broke the law are now lifted in worship. The same voices that once cursed life now speak hope and healing. Only God can take what was once broken and build it into something beautiful. He doesn’t erase our past—He redeems it.
