After Hurricane Isaias, power lines in Milton, Florida, were down and nearly every property was covered in fallen trees. Teams immediately deployed heavy equipment, skidsteers, tractors and chainsaws to clear debris.

Volunteers from Alpharetta Methodist Church in Georgia have been actively working with On Mission Network to help residents recover. Many homeowners are facing high tree-removal estimates, and volunteers are providing the service for free as they tarp roofs, clear yards and muck out homes.

"What we’re doing is giving them a place to start from — a new normal,” said Mike Derrick, Alpharetta Methodist chainsaw volunteer. “We try to get them back as much as we can to a starting point where they feel good and safe."

Thank you to those who have prayed, given and served to make these efforts possible.

Thankful to partner with ministries like Texans on Mission to provide tangible support to those impacted after Hurricane Isaias.

It was a coordinated effort with FEMA Federal Emergency Management Agency and the local fire chief to meet the ongoing needs in the community.

Please continue to pray for the families and communities impacted by Hurricane Isaias, the volunteers serving on the ground and the churches opening their doors to their neighbors.

On Mission Network President Rand Jenkins and Phillip Ditto, Texans on Mission director of disaster relief, recently visited Washington, D.C. to engage in conversations around state and federal disaster response.

They met with Senator James Lankford to discuss changes in FEMA response and his collaboration with Senator Ted Cruz for disaster response in Texas and Oklahoma.

We’re thankful to be involved in conversations that can impact those needing help and hope after a disaster strikes.

The recent mudslides and flooding in Nepal have been devastating. But through local partners and Texans on Mission volunteers, these communities aren’t facing the path to rebuild alone.

TXM volunteers assembled hundreds of hygiene kits for communities in Nepal — answering an immediate need and offering a glimmer of hope.

Thank you to each of you who have given funds, prayers and support so we can respond to these neighbors in need. Please continue to pray for Nepal on their road to recovery.

Students from Baylor University recently spent time serving communities in Jamaica impacted by Hurricane Melissa. While it’s been months since the devastating storm, On Mission Network and ministry partner Texans on Mission have continued to volunteer their time rebuilding homes, offering prayer and consistent hope following the destruction.

We are so thankful for the hearts of these students who chose to spend time serving those in need in Jamaica this summer.

This week, temperatures have been in the 100s. But that hasn’t stopped volunteers from OMN and ministry partner on Mission from serving the many impacted by the recent devastating flooding in South Texas.

From removing damaged flooring, drywall and belongings in homes to help residents move toward recovery – to praying and walking alongside those in need of a little hope after another tragedy, volunteers are making a tangible difference.

Thank you for your support in making these efforts possible.

The recent flooding in the Texas Hill Country and Central Texas is profound. On Mission Network is deployed and partnering with our key Texas partner Texans on Mission to provide relief and hope to those impacted.

We’ve deployed assessors to the region to begin coordination and assessments of the areas reported as affected.

As you can imagine, like last year, the need is great. This situation is devastating for many. Compounding this disaster are the fresh wounds of the flooding one year ago.

Please be in prayer for those affected by the floods.
