The Texas Offenders Reentry Initiative is a program of the T.D. Jakes Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded by Bishop T. grew out of a prison ministry Bishop Jakes established in 1997 through his Dallas-area church, The Potter’s House. After

working inside prison walls delivering messages of hope and inspiration to inmates across the world, Bishop Jakes recognized the need for social services and re-entry assistance for inmates who were returning home to their communities. began offering services in January 2005, and since that time has served over 40,000 formerly incarcerated individuals across the state of Texas.
