Last night, SHOMER TEXAS was honored to provide security at the Chanukah event in downtown Dallas. We worked alongside the Dallas Police Department to ensure that families could celebrate Chanukah proudly and safely.

We are proud to stand with our community. The light will always overcome the darkness!

We’ve been seeing more and more people reaching out to join our efforts, and our waitlist is growing by the day. We’re truly grateful for the incredible support from our amazing community! we rely on donations to keep training more people so if you’ve signed up, hang tight and know we’re getting to everyone as quickly as we can!

The group said it already had a list of clients booked for December. Then, when the mass shooting happened in Bondi, Australia​, phones would not stop ringing.

Shomer extends its deepest condolences to the families of those who were murdered.

Following the recent Terror Attack at Chabad in Australia, where 12 people were murdered and over 60 were injured during a Hanukkah event, Jewish communities worldwide are facing an elevated security threat.

Today alone, Shomer has been contacted by multiple synagogues and Hanukkah event organizers urgently requesting security.

Shomer is already scheduled to secure multiple events- commitments that were made in advance. At this time, it is unclear whether we will have enough trained personnel to meet the growing demand. We are actively assessing the situation in coordination with local and federal agencies, as well as the Jewish Federation.

We will continue to do everything in our power to help ensure the safety and security of the Jewish community across DFW!

While they walk and fight for what matters most -bringing our people home - we stand by them, protecting every step.
