Restored Hope Ministries

Restored Hope Ministries Restored Hope exists to reach, rescue, and restore the lives of women after s*xual exploitation. We also provide dental and medical treatment for our residents.

Restored Hope all started with a vision from our founders, Pastor Sam and Sherry Pollinzi. "Write the vision, And make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it, Because it will surely come, It will not tarry." Habakkuk 2:2-3

Our mission is to reach, rescue, and

restore women and their children to normal lives, who have been affected by the adverse conditions of life that include: s*xual exploitation, human slavery, s*xual abuse, poverty, domestic violence, homelessness, and interaction with the criminal justice system. Birthed in 2012, Restored Hope Ministries is a 501c3 organization founded for the purpose of rescuing women trapped in s*xual exploitation, s*x abuse, and domestic violence. We serve women and their children from ages 17 to 45 years old by providing food, clothing, and shelter through an 18-24 month program, or however long it takes them to adjust and go through the healing process. Some girls need longer than 18-24 months, and that's ok.

PHASE 1 :
Dedicated to healing the hurt that is directly related to their abuse and exploitation. During this period the women participate in Celebrate Recovery classes twice a week, one on one counseling with Licensed Counselors, group counseling, mentorship program, bible studies, parenting classes, budgeting and financial classes, computer training that encompasses the entire Microsoft Office Package, exercise and dance classes, GED program, art therapy and love without anything in return. PHASE 2 :
Focus on job search programs, which include bus passes for their transportation while searching for employment. First, we make sure they have all their pertinent information such as driver’s license, birth certificate, and picture ID. We help them prepare their resume and role play job interviews and certain situations that may arise because of criminal records or their past. Job placement and career paths are determined and documented before they are allowed to go search for a job. PHASE 3:
After they have secured a job, we open bank accounts in their names and set up direct deposit for their pay. All debit cards are secured and stored in their belongings until they are ready to leave. Then we help in the apartment search, deposits and the furnishing of the apartment.

It also part of our vision to see this ministry go nationwide. There is a need in every town, every city, state, and country to “help hurting people” With your help and blessings we will surely touch and restore many lives.

Here at Restored Hope Ministries, we are intentional about creating a culture of honor.

Last week, our residents took a moment to serve and celebrate the faithful volunteers who have spent years consistently pouring into their lives, faithfully showing up to teach classes, to encourage, to disciple, and walk alongside them in their healing journeys.

The residents took it upon themselves to plan and host a beautiful 70s-themed appreciation party. They decorated the home, prepared a full meal, wrote personalized cards, and each shared heartfelt speeches expressing gratitude for the love, encouragement, and impact these volunteers have made in their lives.

“Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.” — Romans 12:10

Moments like this remind us that restoration is not just about healing from the past, but learning to love, honor, value, and serve others again.

To our volunteers: thank you for your consistency, your compassion, and your faithfulness. Your impact reaches further than you know.

When we say we are with them for life, we mean it. ❤️

Today we are celebrating a powerful praise report.

One of our survivors, an overcomer, a victorious woman, and a past resident of our program, has continued to walk in incredible strength and freedom long after leaving the program. She has chosen healing. She has chosen courage. She even bravely stood up and prosecuted her trafficker.

And this week, we received beautiful news.

As of Tuesday, she was officially told she will regain full-time custody of her oldest daughter. 🙌

What a testimony of redemption, restoration, and breakthrough.

This is why we do what we do. Lives are changed. Chains are broken. Families are restored. Generations are impacted.

Let's celebrate this sweet victory with her!!
With her for life. ❤️

Jesus is still healing, restoring, and making all things new. ❤️

Texas remains one of the top states in the nation for reported human trafficking cases.
In 2024, the National Human Trafficking Hotline
identified:
1,360 trafficking cases in Texas
2,439 victims involved
640 s*x trafficking cases
380 labor trafficking cases
The hotline received 2,418 signals from Texas in 2024, including calls, texts, online reports, and chats.

🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍

While trafficking continues to rise across Texas, our outreach team refuses to stay silent. We are boots on the ground, showing up in the streets, the broken places, the forgotten places, and the places most people avoid.

We go because people matter.
Because daughters matter.
Because souls matter.

We are reaching the hurting, praying with the broken, loving without conditions, and bringing the light of Jesus into places filled with exploitation, addiction, abuse, and hopelessness.

This is more than outreach.
This is discipleship.
This is restoration.
This is war for the souls of people trapped in darkness.

Every conversation matters.
Every prayer matters.
Every life matters.

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7

One of our newest residents recently stepped into a situation that could have easily been overwhelming. Fear had every opportunity to take over… but instead, she chose something different.

She chose joy.
She chose faith.
She chose courage.

In that moment, she leaned on what she’s been learning here in the program and boldly shared her memory verse, 2 Timothy 1:7 with those in the room.

That one act of faith created a ripple effect. Now, Bibles are being passed out on the streets with this very scripture written inside, reminding others that fear does not have the final say.

Even in the midst of her own healing journey, she is already helping bring hope and healing to others.

This is what restoration looks like.
Not just lives being changed… but lives becoming a light for others.

We pray this encourages you today. Never underestimate what God can do through a simple act of obedience. Something as small as sharing a short memory verse can have a far-reaching impact, touching lives in ways you may never even see.

Last week, our residents at Restored Hope Ministries hosted the first of many Honor Nights for one of our faithful, long-time volunteers, Susan Espenlaub.

At Restored Hope, we intentionally cultivate a culture of honor, and the ladies did an incredible job organizing and hosting this night, making it truly special.

From the thoughtful details to the meal they planned, every part of the evening reflected honor, gratitude, teamwork, and love.

Moments like this remind us that restoration isn’t just something received… it’s something lived out and given away.

There is a ripple effect when one life is surrendered to the Lord and restoration begins.

The Lord used Restored Hope to help transform Beth, who then went on to impact J. Yesterday, J shared her testimony with a group of women at OurCalling bringing hope, encouragement, and truth to women in need. What a beautiful reminder that when God restores one life, He often uses that life to help restore many more.

Because of your prayers, support, and willingness to stand with this mission, another woman is rising from the ashes and overcoming. Your support truly matters more than words can express.

And as if that was not enough reason to celebrate, Friday marks J’s one year anniversary at Restored Hope Ministries. We are so grateful for the faithfulness of God and honored to witness the healing, growth, and transformation taking place right before our eyes.

Beauty for ashes. Hope for the broken. Restoration through Christ. 🤍

One of our residents recently spent time painting these beautiful rocks, each one carrying a powerful word.... Deliverance, Jesus, Dream, Love, Joy.

What may look simple on the outside is actually something deeply healing. Art has become such a special outlet for so many of our women. It gives them space to process, to express, and to begin healing in ways words sometimes can’t.

There’s something powerful about creating again… about choosing colors, writing truth, and putting hope right in front of you. It’s a reminder that healing is happening - one step, one moment, one brushstroke at a time.

We’ve added our Amazon Wishlist for anyone who would like to help support this part of their journey. Art supplies are something our residents truly love, and they make a real impact in the healing process.

Thank you for continuing to stand with us and help create spaces where restoration can take place.

On May 7th The city of Garland is holding a National Day of prayer event, the theme is “Glorify God among the Nations, seeking Him in all generations” and Restored Hope has been invited to have a table with information about the ministry. We would love to invite anyone who would like to come and support us and gather in unity over prayer for our nation for this special and impactful night.

Requests for national prayer date back to George Washington and our founding Fathers. Then in 1952 President Harry S. Truman designated the first Thursday in May as the National Day of Prayer.

More than twenty years ago our Garland founder, Sandra Dinkins, recognized the important role of prayer in our national history. As a result of this local effort, families, local Pastors, business leaders and others have gathered on the first Thursday in May for over twenty-two years. We have had our own grass roots effort to gather churches and individuals to pray for our city, nation, families and institutions.

We hope you will be able to attend on Thursday May 7th at the Atrium (300 N. 5th Street Garland, TX). Doors will open at 5PM, and we will begin at 6PM.

Our Volunteer of the Month is Victoria Neal. Since August of 2020, Victoria has faithfully served with Restored Hope Ministries, coming twice each month to lead art therapy with the women we serve.

Victoria is a walking, talking overcomer. Through her own journey, she birthed Painting for Recovery, a ministry that continues to grow and evolve, bringing healing and hope to many. She has a remarkable gift for taking what once represented pain, trauma, and bo***ge, and helping transform it into something beautiful, meaningful, and new. Through art, she helps the women repurpose struggle into strength and create beauty from broken places.

Her faithfulness, compassion, and creativity have been a blessing to our ministry for years. She is helping restore memories impacted by trauma, rebuild confidence, and remind women that their story is not over.

Isaiah 61:3 says, “To bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes.” That scripture reflects the very heart of Victoria’s work. She helps women see that ashes are never the end of the story when God is involved.

Victoria, thank you for serving with consistency, love, and purpose. Your life and your work continue to bring healing, restoration, and beauty to so many. We are honored to recognize you as our Volunteer of the Month.

How do you put someone’s life work into a single post? Truthfully, you can’t. We will only begin to scratch the surface of all this incredible woman has accomplished.

Our Employee of the Month is Pastor Sherry Pollinzi.
As Co-Founder of Restored Hope Ministries, Pastor Sherry Pollinzi has faithfully served alongside Pastor Sam for the last 14 years, helping build a ministry that has become a place of healing, restoration, and hope for countless women and children. She is the very definition of a warrior...strong, steadfast, compassionate, and unwavering in faith.

Pastor Sherry does not just teach truth with words; she trains women by the way she lives. Through consistency, humility, wisdom, prayer, and love, she demonstrates what it means to walk with God through every season. Her life has become a testimony that strength and gentleness can live in the same person.

She has poured into broken hearts, stood in the gap for those in need, prayed through impossible situations, and helped create an atmosphere where women can rediscover their worth, identity, and purpose in Christ. Her impact cannot be measured only in years served, but in lives changed.

“She is clothed with strength and dignity and laughs with no fear of the future. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.”
— Proverbs 31:25-26

Pastor Sherry, we honor you today. Thank you for your faithfulness, your sacrifice, your leadership, and the way you reflect Jesus so beautifully. You are deeply loved, greatly valued, and richly deserving of this honor.
Please help us celebrate Pastor Sherry Pollinzi today.
