Rotary Club of Paulding County

We meet Tuesdays at 12pm at the Hardy Dealership in Dallas in the Commercial Sales building.

The Rotary Club of Paulding County was established in March of 1969 and is part of Rotary District 6900. We are an active club striving to make a difference in our communities and communities across the world.

The Rotary Club of Paulding County is proud to award the 2026 Service Above Self Scholarship to Kendall Dalton.

Kendall is a graduate of North Paulding High School and plans to attend the University of Georgia, where she will pursue a degree in Elementary Education. Her passion for serving others and investing in the next generation embodies Rotary's motto of Service Above Self. Kendall exemplified service during her time at North Paulding High, serving and leading numerous organizations both within the school and in our community, while maintaining a 4.0 GPA.

In her scholarship application, Kendall wrote:
“I believe that service is one of the most powerful ways to strengthen a community. When we invest in others, especially younger students, we create a ripple effect that extends far beyond one moment or one act.” We couldn’t have said it better ourselves!

We congratulate Kendall on this well-deserved recognition and look forward to seeing the positive impact she will make!

The Rotary Club of Paulding County is proud to award our $10,000 Community Grant to the Paulding Child Advocacy Center (PCAC). PCAC applied for these funds to help expand the services and support they provide for children that may have been impacted by abuse.

Investing in organizations that create hope, healing, and brighter futures for children in our community is what Service Above Self is all about. We are honored to partner with PCAC and support their mission of providing a safe and neutral setting for children who may have been abused.

The Rotary Club of Paulding County was fortunate to spend time preparing a meal for the residents and staff of Paulding Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. It was a wonderful time cooking out hamburgers and hot dogs and a great opportunity to fellowship, and serve our community.

Service Above Self is more than a motto — it’s about building connections and giving back to our community.

This week, our club hosted our annual Public Safety Appreciation Luncheon, where each agency honored a staff member with the “Service Above Self” Award.

We are grateful for the men and women who serve our community every day with courage, compassion, and commitment. Thank you to all of our local public safety agencies for the sacrifices you make to protect and support our citizens. Congratulations to each of this year’s honorees for going above and beyond in service to others.

The Georgia Rotary Student Program (GRSP) provides scholarships that foster cultural understanding, build lasting friendships, and develop future global leaders—while expanding the ideals of Rotary around the world.

This year, our club was fortunate to sponsor Sebastian Sluga Delgado from Cali, Valle del Cauca, Columbia.

Now finishing his senior year at Kennesaw State University with a major in Economics, Sebastian recently visited the club and shared how the GRSP program has impacted his life. We are proud to have been a small part of his journey and look forward to all he will accomplish.

This week, our club was honored to present a donation to the Family Alliance of Paulding. We were grateful to hear from Executive Director Linda Verscharen, who shared an update on the organization’s current initiatives focused on promoting thriving children, healthy families, and peaceful, drug-free homes.

We are thankful for the important work Family Alliance of Paulding continues to do to strengthen our community.

Last month, several members of the Rotary Club of Paulding County had the wonderful opportunity to visit the Montego Bay Rotary Club in Jamaica.

It was an incredible experience to connect with fellow Rotarians who share the same heart for service, leadership, and strengthening their community. Rotary’s impact truly reaches across borders, and this visit was a great reminder that while our communities may be miles apart, our mission of Service Above Self unites us all.

We are grateful for the warm welcome and the opportunity to build relationships with our Rotary family in Jamaica.

After distributing over 1,000 books to Paulding County students in 2022, Rotary Club of Paulding County is continuing to provide resources for childhood literacy through the placement of the first three new Rotary Little Library boxes in our county.

Rotary International has literacy as a key goal around the world and Paulding County Rotary is working to encourage more local children to read through easier access to books.

Donations to our fundraisers make this project possible, so we would like to say a big "thank you" to all our sponsors this past year and encourage others to sponsor our fundraising efforts in the year ahead. Major fundraisers include our BBQ stand at Paulding Meadows in September, Annual Charity Golf Tournament in October, and the Invitational Dallas Christmas Parade in December.

This week, our club was fortunate to present a donation to Helping Hands of Paulding County. The goal of this local nonprofit is to ensure that no one goes without a meal or struggles to meet their basic nutritional needs.

We are grateful for the incredible work they do to serve families and individuals in need throughout our community. It is an honor to support an organization that makes such a meaningful difference in Paulding County.

This week, our club had the privilege of hearing from Jeff Davis, founder of Truth in Nature. Jeff and his wife, Carrie, founded Truth in Nature in 2009 with the goal of reaching fatherless boys through outdoor, Christ-centered mentoring.

We’re also grateful for the opportunity to give back, as our club was fortunate to donate $1,000 in support of this meaningful work.

It’s always rewarding to connect with individuals and organizations who are making a difference in our community.
