Deaf Day Dallas County

Dallas County election has given our Deaf ministry the opportunity to support an initiative that will intentionally provide in person ASL interpreting for our Deaf/HH votersregistered in Dallas county.

This historic event will be known as Deaf Day, Dallas County and will occur have on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at various early voting locations during polling hours.

There is still time for qualified ASL interpreters to participate in this event if you are in ASL interpreter or know any that may be interested please complete the interest form VA the link below or forward this information .

All interested participants must be on board by Dallas County elections.

Please note that the on boarding deadline is Friday, October 9, 2026 at 9 AM .

2026 General and joint election early voting poll workers on boarding application sections will be from Friday, August 28, 2026 to Friday, October 9, 2026 all applications sessions are a by appointment only made through the poll worker portal You can also call the voting site department at 214-819-6332 and schedule by phone scheduled Applicants must arrive at the noted . October 5: Last Day to Register to vote.

October 19: Early voting begin.

October 23: Deadline for the early voting clerk to receive an application for a ballot by mail.

October 30: Early voting ends.

Join us at the State Fair of Texas! 🎡

Billy, our Senior Citizens Activity Coordinator, is bringing our Deaf 60+ community together for a fun day at the fair! Come say hi and enjoy fair food, rides, and plenty of DST (Deaf Standard Time) chats with us.

DAC is providing free round-trip transportation from DAC to the State Fair of Texas (and back) for Deaf community members aged 60+. Seats are limited, so be sure to reserve your spot in our van! Email us by Friday, October 2 to sign up. See yall at the fair!
