Generosity isn't the sacrifice.
Withholding is.
Entrepreneurs are wired to reinvest. Every dollar has a job. Every resource gets deployed toward growth. That instinct built our businesses — but it can quietly strangle our soul if we're not careful.
We tell ourselves we'll give more when the round closes. When revenue stabilizes. When we've taken care of the team, the debt, the next phase. It's not selfishness, we say. It's stewardship.
But what if that moment never comes?
The business will always need more. The timing will never feel right. There will always be a more "responsible" place for that dollar to go.
And if we're not intentional, we'll spend our whole entrepreneurial lives optimizing for a finish line that keeps moving — and never actually giving from the place of faith we claim to operate from.
Open hands aren't a reward for getting it right. They're the evidence that we believe what we say we believe.
Radical generosity isn't extreme. It's normal Christianity.
