Justin Forsett read a Sports Illustrated article that said 80% of NFL players are bankrupt, divorced, or depressed within two years of retirement.

He was in his third year in the league. Already fired twice.

He made a decision right there. He wasn't going to be that statistic.

While other players focused on the next game, Justin was building Hustle Clean, a personal care brand for people who go hard and need solutions when a shower isn't possible. He started with a backpack full of product, a locker room full of potential customers, and not much else.

The entrepreneurial road hit harder than any opponent he faced on the field. He closed a deal while losing sight in one eye on the way to the hospital. He heard no after no from investors who said on paper everything looked right. He hit walls he didn't see coming.

Then he crashed a Target business tour with a backpack full of Hustle Clean and pitched a buyer on the spot. Two months later, Hustle Clean was in every Target store in the country.

But the real story isn't the Target deal. It's what Justin learned about identity. His peace and joy aren't deferred until an exit. They're found in who God called him to be right now, in the middle of the grind, whether he succeeds or fails.

That's what a faith-driven entrepreneur looks like.

You care about your employees. Your investors. Your customers and clients. Even deeper, the injustices you see and can't unsee. The hope of the Gospel you want your life to actually spread.

And then the news cycle moves at a hundred miles an hour, and you wonder if any of it makes a dent.

Laila Mickelwait wondered the same thing. She started with 300 followers and a commitment to post every single day about a terrible injustice most people looked away from.

She didn't know who was listening. She just knew she had to be faithful to it.

Stephen Ellsworth, co-founder of poppi, was staring at a stack of invoices with no good answer in sight. The warehouse was live. Whole Foods wasn't yet. Revenue hadn't caught up to the bet he'd already made.

So he prayed about it.

A week later, right as the mortgage was due, an unexpected tax refund landed in the mail — almost to the dollar of what he owed.
