Some of the elected officials say it’s bad governance to spend $12.5 million dollars on 150 people. That’s an investment of $83,333 per person to provide water, sewer, and resident assistance. Thankfully we’re good at math and real estate. Let’s break this down.

1. When you develop real estate, there are 0 people there on the land initially.

2. Sand Branch is 250 acres

3. Lets say there could be 2 houses per acre. That equals 🟰 500 homes.

4. 500 homes =1,000 people living in Sand Branch, TX

5. $12.5 Million divided by 1,000 = $12,500 per person cost to provide water.

6. That’s less than it costs to jail someone for 1 year.

7. Investing in infrastructure creates tax revenue, so Sand Branch is a good investment.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us through donations. We like to show your money going to good use. We are building a flex mix pad on a community member’s drive way to make sure their cars do not get stuck. We bought a truck load of material to spread.

Community Movement Builders came through today for Sand Branch, TX. They installed a solar street light for Ms. Betty today free of charge. This is the first step in “lighting up Sand Branch, TX” we’re so grateful for people who truly love our communities.

Day 68 - Sand Branch, TX
Wilmer, TX. We got a call from a young lady who lives in Wilmer, Texas, which is right down the street from Sand Branch. The city of Wilmer informed her that they were not interested in investing in municipal water lines. She’s a business owner and a single mom who needs to have water just like Sand Branch. She showers at the gym so that she can have access to clean water. We can do better than this. Let’s bring water to Sand Branch and other areas in Dallas County.
