🚀 Empowering the Next Generation of Innovators!

Women in STEM Leadership (WISL) is excited to announce our Python Programming Summer Camp for 5th Graders!

📍 Location: University of Dallas – College of Business
Cardinal Farrell Hall, Classroom #205
📅 Dates: June 8 – June 12, 2026
⏰ Time: 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Our WISL Programming Boot Camp for Middle School Children introduces students to the exciting world of coding through Python — one of the most in-demand programming languages today.

During this immersive, hands-on week, students will:

✅ Learn foundational coding concepts
✅ Build beginner-friendly Python projects
✅ Strengthen problem-solving and critical thinking skills
✅ Build confidence in technology
✅ Engage with STEM mentors

At WISL, we believe exposure creates opportunity. By introducing students — especially girls and underrepresented communities — to technology early, we are helping build the next generation of engineers, AI innovators, and tech leaders.

In spite of the freezing cold weather, ANWEP was on the ground in South Dallas earlier today for our Feed the Homeless outreach.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing volunteers — Joy Ndoma-Chouest and her beautiful daughter Vanessa, Ngozi Mmaduegbuna, and ANWEP Founder, Ogechi Ugwulebo, for showing up with compassion and servant leadership.

Together, we were able to serve 100+ individuals a warm, nourishing meal featuring Nigerian jollof rice, baked/stewed chicken hen, and vegetable salad. The gratitude and joy shared reminded us that service knows no weather.

We are deeply thankful to God for the opportunity to serve humanity and make a difference in our community.

📣 Volunteer Call – Feed the Homeless Outreach

ANWEP is partnering with Salad and Go Charities to Feed the Homeless on Saturday, January 31st, 2026, and we need your helping hands!

🗓 Date: Saturday, January 31, 2026
⏰ Time: 9:30 AM (setup) | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM (distribution)
📍 Location: 912 S. Ervay Street, Dallas, TX 75201

Volunteers will assist with setup, food distribution, and clean-up. This is a wonderful opportunity to serve our community and make a meaningful impact together.

Homelessness, especially among minority women experiencing domestic violence, is a pressing issue that requires targeted and effective interventions. We seek your support for the Association of Nigerian Women Entrepreneurs & Professionals (ANWEP) in our mission to reduce homelessness among minority women experiencing domestic violence in Dallas and Denton Counties. North Texas Giving Day (NTGD) 2024 will take place on Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 6 AM to midnight. Early giving will begin on September 1 and run through September 18.

NTGD is a 18-hour online fundraising event that allows individuals, families, businesses, and nonprofits to support local causes and organizations. The event aims to create a culture of community-wide giving and has raised over $566 million since its inception in 2009.

Donors can use the NTGD website to give to more than 3,300 North Texas nonprofits. They can also make early donations, which allow them 21 days to donate instead of just one day. Some organizations may also offer matching funds, and donors can use their NTGD receipt to prove their donation to their company

North Texas Giving Day is the largest one-day giving event in the country. Donate from September 1 - 19!
