This is a disgraceful act. I will not be able to comment on UDC actions unless our President General makes it public but know we will do what is in the best interest of our Organization. It would be nice if law enforcement would do something about this.

“This incident is sending Selma back into ‘The Twilight Zone,’” the district attorney said. “There’s never a dull moment.”

General Lee still sits high atop Traveller untouched but his pedestal is ridden with graffiti and fences surround what was once a peace piece of land to lounge and admire. This is my last picture from 2019. He remains there while the battle continues in court while his two Generals, Naval Commander and President are gone, pedestals all that remain.

Today April 1st starts Confederate History month which will culminate with Confederate Memorial Day the last weekend of the month.

Today we post our monument, erected by Dallas 6 in 1896 in the old City Park. It was later moved to Pioneer Cemetery in 1961 and re-dedicated. In June 2020, it as dismantled and removed by the city of Dallas. It’s multiple pieces are currently stored at Hensley Field in Grand Prairie. A lawsuit remains open to date against the city and office of cultural affairs.
