A Message from the CT State Council President:
I am honored to share that the Connecticut Emergency Nurses Association State Council has been recognized with the ENA Council Achievement Award—an honor awarded to only 10 councils nationwide.
This distinction recognizes ENA councils that demonstrate excellence across key areas of association management, including governance, communication, education, membership engagement, and advocacy. Being selected among a small group of councils highlights the strength, impact, and commitment of our organization.
This achievement belongs to all of you. It reflects the collective dedication, professionalism, and engagement of emergency nurses across Connecticut who continually contribute their time, expertise, and passion to advancing our profession.
Through your work in education, mentorship, advocacy, and collaboration, you make a meaningful difference—not only within our Council but in the care delivered to patients and communities across our state.
It is a privilege to serve as your Council President and to work alongside such an exceptional community of professionals. Together, we will continue to build on this momentum and advance emergency nursing practice.
Thank you for your continued dedication and support.
With appreciation,
Marlene Schmidt, MSN, RN, CEN, CPEN, NPD-BC
President, Connecticut ENA State Council
