Exodus Ministries Exodus Ministries is a 501 (c) (3) non-denominational Christian organization. Exodus is a fresh start on a new life for the women and children we serve!

Exodus Ministries assists female ex-offenders from all over the state of Texas that are re-entering society after incarceration in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice system and have demonstrated a willingness to make positive changes in their life. These women are dealing with the residual pain of having been separated from their children for a long period of time and do not have the immedia

Trauma-informed care is more than a buzzword, it's at the heart of everything we do at Exodus Ministries.
Many of the women we serve have experienced significant trauma long before incarceration. Abuse, addiction, family instability, poverty, and other difficult circumstances often play a role in their stories.

Trauma-informed care shifts the question from "What's wrong with you?" to "What happened to you?" It recognizes that healing is an important part of lasting transformation.

This approach doesn't remove accountability. Instead, it creates a foundation of safety, trust, dignity, and support that helps women move forward and build healthier futures.

At Exodus, trauma-informed care shapes how we provide housing, mentorship, parenting support, and community. Because when women are given the opportunity to heal, families can be restored, cycles can be broken, and lasting change becomes possible.

That's why trauma-informed care isn't just something we do, it's central to who we are.

A criminal record doesn't disappear when a sentence ends.
For many women, the biggest challenges begin after release like finding housing, securing employment, rebuilding relationships with their children, and creating stability for the future.
These barriers are real, but so is the possibility of transformation.

At Exodus Ministries, we believe that with safe housing, practical support, and a community that refuses to give up on people, women can rebuild their lives and families can heal.
A person's past may explain where they've been. It doesn't define where they're going. 🕊️

It's easy to make assumptions about people based on a chapter of their story.
But at Exodus, we've had the privilege of watching women rebuild their lives, strengthen their families, pursue education, secure employment, and create futures that once felt impossible.
The truth is that lasting change doesn't happen because someone is perfect. It happens when people are given the opportunity, support, and community they need to move forward.
Every woman who comes through our doors has a story. And every story deserves more than a label.
Because transformation happens in community. ❤️
