October 15 is National Latinx AIDS Awareness Day (NLAAD), a community mobilization that, since 2003, has promoted effective ways to prevent, treat, and stop the spread of HIV among the Latinx community. Learn more at nlaad.org
At Legacy Cares, we now offer counseling in Spanish to help those who are living with HIV get access to mental health care.

This evening’s fundraising event was Hosted by Karamel B D Diaz of TGRA Dallas Chapter and Sparkles from NLA Dallas at The Hidden Door Dallas, specifically for The Grace Project! We were blessed to have our ED, Program Director, and 2 of our ladies from Grace Project attend! Unbeknownst to them, ItalyNicole Jenkins gave a challenge for donations to get the ladies to “perform”! I think they had fun…

Today, Legacy Cares honors World Mental Health Day. As an organization, we offer counseling and substance abuse treatment to those living with HIV. If you are living with HIV or know someone living with HIV, have them give us a call at 214-520-6308 or visit legacycares.org to learn more about our services. Even if you are not living with HIV, we hope you prioritize your mental health, and if you or someone you know needs support, dial “988” Su***de & Crisis Lifeline – Free, 24/7, and confidential.

Today is National Depression Screening Day, which began in 1991 as an effort to reach individuals nationwide with important mental health education and connect them with support services.

Legacy Cares provides counseling services to HIV positive individuals struggling with depression and other mental health concerns. Learn more at https://legacycares.org/counseling-center/

If you don’t have HIV, there are resources out there to help with depression. You can always call 988 if you are in crisis or visit psychologytoday.com to find a therapist in your area.
