When healthcare funding is cut, people don't just lose services; they lose time.

For pregnant Texans, delayed Medicaid approvals can mean delayed prenatal care, fewer available providers, and increased health risks for both parent and baby.

Access to healthcare should never depend on how long someone has to wait for coverage. Strong healthcare systems require strong investment.

State data shows more than 40,000 pregnant Texans waited more than a month for the state to process their Medicaid applications — with more than half waiting more than 60 days.
