Lumedia Musicworks

Lumedia Musicworks Lumedia Musicworks brings early music to life through captivating performances and short films. We play what we want and it's usually baroque.

Skilled in historical performance practice, Lumedia Musicworks concocts new experiences out of old music. Their live concerts are described as “a mélange of movements and selections from various composers, providing a uniquely dynamic concert experience that engrosses audiences” (Early Music America Magazine, 2020). Lumedia Musicworks has an equal presence in-person and online. Since its founding,

LM focuses half of its efforts on online productions and half on live concerts. Lumedia creates locally, but cultivates its community worldwide, promoting fresh and energetic experiences in a variety of ways. Silent film, mini-documentaries, historical film footage, poetry and creative use of venues can be found in LM’s arsenal. Lumedia’s musicians are first-class artists from across Texas who have attended prestigious schools for historically-informed performance practice. Schools include but are not limited to Juilliard, Yale, Indiana University, and the University of North Texas. In addition, Lumedia's musicians have performed in Grammy-nominated recordings with other ensembles and maintain flourishing performance careers in the early music industry across the United States. Lumedia Musicworks is a 501(c)3 non profit performing arts organization.

In doing so, we continue our mission: bringing early music to life through preservation.
