Our honor👩🏽‍⚖️

On May 12, 2026 our chapter had the pleasure of welcoming Honorary Member, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson to campus as a featured speaker for the lecture series.

We want to thank everyone who helped make this moment possible and for the experience to be a part of history!

50 Years⭐️

May 29, 1979, nine collegiate women at SMU chartered the Nu Iota Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Their hard work created a legacy with a lasting impact enjoyed by our sisters, Greek life culture, and the greater campus community.

We celebrated this milestone on the 1st weekend of May to honor our sisterhood and the community that has continued to support us.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our chapter and its members along the way, thank you to our alums for returning/ participating in this joyous occasion, and thank you to our committee members who helped make this possible!❤️

As the academic year comes to a close, the Legendary Ladies of the Nu Iota Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. would like to take a moment to reflect on an incredible 2025–2026 year and look ahead to the upcoming fall semester.

This year, we accomplished so much as a chapter. We were honored to receive Greek Awards for NPHC Chapter of the Year, and our very own Soror Lena Rembert was recognized as Outstanding Council Officer. We also welcomed four lovely ladies into our esteemed sisterhood through our Spring 2026 Legacy Line. In addition, we proudly celebrated our 50th Charter Anniversary alongside Nu Iota alumni and charter members during our Golden celebration.

None of these accomplishments would have been possible without our small but mighty chapter and the unwavering support of our advisors and Sorors. We are excited for the next academic year and look forward to continuing to make a lasting impact on our campus and community.

Due to inclement weather, The Legendary Nu Iota chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated will have RUSH on January 28, 2026 at 7:13 PM.

Early arrivals are highly recommended. All student attendees must remain for the entire duration of RUSH in order to receive an application. We look forward to seeing you there!
