Hi, I'm Tracy Washington, Executive Director of the nonprofit Moms Raising Successful Sons. Our mission is to strengthen single-mother households by providing mentorship, leadership development, and practical life skills for mothers and their sons.

As 2025 comes to a close, you may be looking for meaningful ways to give back. I'm reaching out to ask for your help. It's important that we single moms put our young sons in proximity to men that can teach them things we cannot.

I'm sure this mother is doing the best she can raising five kids, but this is precisely why we need MEN to be mentors.

Young boys need to learn how to express themselves in a safe space. A single Mom might not have the capacity to hear or hold the weight of someone else's emotions because she can't hold her own amd doesn't have th3 help she needs.

Emotionally mature MEN can teach growing young boys emotional intelligence and how to express themselves so they can be seen and heard without judgement.

We don't need boys to grow up having challenges connecting with their own feelings and having challenges in their interpersonal relationships.

We can do better for the next generation.

This story deeply saddens me. While I am unfamiliar with the specifics of this young woman's situation, it appears there was a significant lack of support for her mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Single Moms:

You want to make sure your sons have good MEN (not just males) role models in their lives if their fathers are absent.

So much of how people respond to your son in life depends on how you raise them.
