Earlier this month PYA held a fun night at Roseland. PYA members and their families were able to meet with the PYA partners to find out more about what PYA does and how they can get involved in our programs. We had pizza, drinks, games, t-shirts, and a final raffle prize a 28 inch smart TV. Thank you to everyone who came out to have some fun!

And also a big thank you to all the parents who filled out a spring ASEBA form!!

Congrats to Zharria Fowler - PYA's Youth of the Month for March 2014!

Zharria is a very bright and intelligent young lady who is always lending a helpful hand. She displays strong leadership and is the first to arrive and the last to leave. On our field trip to ADP payroll services, she asked numerous questions highlighting her interest in the workforce. Zharria is very dedicated to whatever assignment is set before her and is enthusiastic about books, proving this by always reading a book. PYA staff knows that if Zharria continues on the path that she is on, she will have a very bright future ahead of her. PYA is extremely happy to have Zharria here! Join us in congratulating Zharria!

PYA is part of the Roseland Community Transformation Group and last week the group held a town hall meeting. We had various officials from the community answer concerns that the community members might have. Thank you to everyone who spoke and those who attended the meeting.

Last week was Spring Break for our youth. Some of the teens and young kids of PYA took a field trip to the Dallas Arboretum and to local businesses. Thank you to everyone who helped make this trip possible. The kids had a great time!
