We have a message from Megan Lanz, one of our team members, who's asking for your participation:
Greetings!
I have a favor to ask of all of you - both musicians *and* non-musicians. Would you please take a moment to fill out this form intended to collect information on your experiences with music in our periods of isolation during the pandemic.
Did you compose music during this time? Did you record? Perform? Did you listen more, less, or the same amount?
The final chapter of my book (Music and the Human Experience: A Guide for Informed Listening, to be published with Cognella - preliminary edition Fall 2024) will focus on pandemic responses in the field of music, and I'd like to include information from anyone who is willing to participate. If you'd like to add your name and email for followup, there are spaces for that at the bottom of this page. I'd appreciate continuing the conversation with you. This form will NOT automatically collect your email address.
Please feel free to share this post! I am very grateful for your time on this!
I am opening this form for approximately 2.5 weeks (Feb 21-Mar 10) to help inform me as I put together information on various ways both musicians and non-musicians used music in response to isolation and the pandemic. Thank you for taking a few minutes to fill this out! The final chapter of my book....
