🇮🇱 Israel's Foreign Ministry has officially launched preparations for the 2,000th anniversary of the baptism of Jesus in the Jordan River, a milestone Christians around the world will commemorate in 2030.

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar announced the creation of a dedicated working group led by Ambassador George Deek, Israel's Special Envoy to the Christian World, to strengthen dialogue with churches and Christian leaders worldwide and coordinate preparations for the millions of Christian pilgrims expected to visit the Holy Land.

Sa'ar said Israel is committed to ensuring the Holy Land remains accessible to believers and pledged to continue safeguarding freedom of worship and access to holy sites for people of all faiths. He described 2030 as a unique opportunity for Christians from across the globe to reconnect with the roots of their faith where Christianity began.
