Camp Esperanza Camp Esperanza provides kids with cancer a week of fun and friendship while building confidence and inspiring hope. Camp Esperanza allows kids to just be kids.

Camp provides kids with cancer the opportunity to enjoy a summer camping experience, with the benefit of medical supervision. Camp is a break during which young patients can share in the best medicine of all – HOPE! The Bridewell Foundation makes this happen for 140 kids each summer. We also fund teen retreats which campers can attend when they graduate from summer camp at age 15.

Help us bring the magic of camp to children with cancer this summer 💛

As we prepare for Camp Esperanza 2026, we’re collecting essential supplies through our Amazon Wish List to help make camp week possible for our campers.

Our Wish List includes requested items directly from our medical team, camp co-directors, and arts & crafts director to help support every part of the camp experience, from medical and health supplies to snacks and creative projects.

Every item donated helps us create a safe, joyful, and unforgettable week where children who have or have had cancer can simply be kids again.

We’re honored to share that Camp Esperanza is a beneficiary of the 20th Annual Elizabeth Toon Charities Clay Shoot & Concert. Support from this event helps make it possible for children who have or have had cancer to experience the joy, friendship, and healing of a week at Camp Esperanza.

On behalf of the Elizabeth Toon Charities Board and Committee, we are excited to invite you to our 20th Annual Clay Shoot & Concert! This year’s events begin Thursday, May 7th with our exciting sporting clay tournament held at Dallas Gun Club with over 60 teams competing. The next evening, Friday, May 8th, we will have a Texas country concert and live auction at Gilley’s Dallas with Wade Bowen performing! These events have raised over 9.5 million dollars, which we have been honored to donate to our four Partner Charities and various Beneficiaries over the past 19 years!
