Equest Since 1981, Equest has changed the lives of children, adults, and veterans with special needs through equine assisted therapies. Learn more at www.equest.org

Their programs focus on the powerful connection between people and horses to enhance physical and emotional strengthening. Our beautiful 45-acre campus is southeast of downtown Dallas on the edge of the Great Trinity Forest. The campus includes two covered arenas, and a barn with 34 therapy horses. The staff and over 600 volunteers work tirelessly to achieve Equest's mission every day. Equest is a premiere center accredited by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International.

Presented by Stanley Korshak, The Dallas Great 8 brings together the worlds of fashion and philanthropy, honoring 8 extraordinary individuals who exemplify the spirit of giving back. Join us in congratulating Louise and the power of charity, fashion, and community.

We have some bittersweet news to share, after more than 13 incredible years with Equest, our beloved Dare is officially retiring!

Since joining us in June 2013, Dare has healed hearts, brought joy to countless clients, comforted veterans, welcomed thousands of visitors, educated young readers, and been a steady friend to so many.

As Dare passes the reins to our next miniature ambassadors, we would love for you to help us wish him a very Happy Retirement! We invite anyone who would like to wish Dare a Happy Retirement to please come by Equest to visit him. Dare would love to see any visitors during normal operating hours during the month of October. He might have a lot of visitors (and limited room for treats!), but he’ll happily accept cards, flowers, and photos.

Come celebrate Dare and thank him for all the joy he’s brought to the Equest family!
