As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit restaurant, Café Momentum teaches critical skills that allow youth to apply what they have been taught in pre-release programs in a safe, real-world environment of nurturing accountability. By participating in our program, at-risk young men and women rotate through every aspect of the restaurant from waiting tables to washing dishes, while working side-by-side with established chefs.

Our summer menu drops today, and it’s giving everything you could want from the season: fresh, bright and an invitation to linger a little longer.

A TIME was had last Friday. The food was delicious, but the vibes in the room…unmatched.

When Tamela Gill Davis asks for the DJ to queue up the electric slide, even the interns and Café Momentum staff make it to the makeshift dance floor.

Thank you for an incredible experience to everyone who was involved. The smiles say it all.

At Café Momentum, we believe every young person has the right to be the author of their own future. Our mission is rooted in creating pathways to possibility, accessibility to vital resources and the commitment to show our youth every day that they are surrounded by an ecosystem of support. That they matter.

This Juneteenth, Café Momentum becomes Tamela Davis’s living room, and you’re invited to the table. The certified life coach, philanthropist and self-proclaimed foodie is opening her table to Dallas for one unforgettable night, reimagining Café Momentum as her personal living room, inspired by the magic of Nashville’s Michelin-recommended Tailor restaurant.

The evening unfolds like a night at Tamela’s home — cocktails and warm welcomes, followed by a multi-course Southern feast guided by Tamela herself, as she shares the memories, the women and the Mississippi roots that shaped her.
