Help us plan Social Work Advocacy Day 2027! NASW-TX is looking for dedicated members to join the 2027 Social Work Advocacy Day (SWAD) Planning Committee. SWAD will take place on April 2, 2027, at the Texas State Capitol, and we need members who are ready to help us plan the event, build excitement, engage social workers across Texas, and get the word out. The National Association of Social Workers–Texas (NASW-TX) is leading efforts to explore the need to develop a Spanish-language Licensed Master’s Social Worker (LMSW) examination. As part of this work, NASW-TX is seeking input from social workers across the United States to better understand the landscape of Spanish-language social work practice. We encourage all social workers, educators, supervisors, and students to participate and share the survey with their professional networks. Your feedback will help ensure that future decisions are informed by the experiences and perspectives of the social work community nationwide.
The survey is available in English and Spanish and we ask that all responses be submitted by September 30.
