Differences Not Disabilities

Differences Not Disabilities Dif Not Dis a community to share personal stories & knowledge about what learning differences (LD) are and how to support them from different perspectives.

The founder, Sarah Hardey, was diagnosed with Dyslexia when she was 6 years old. She was very lucky to have parents that searched high and low to find a school that would be able to help her. They found a school in Dallas, TX called Shelton. Today, Sarah is about to graduated from University of Texas at Dallas (UTD), December 2013. Dif Not Dis is Sarah's way of giving back. We want to share the st

ories of those that are also dealing with LD, their challenges and they successes to give inspiration to others. The site also contains simplified definitions to the most common LD's to help students, parents, and teachers better understand some with LD.
