Today we made “sacrifice boxes” that displayed the character traits of Jesus on the outside and things we are willing to sacrifice to be more like Him on the inside. 🎁 Our students contemplated sacrificing physical things (like their toys or electronics) and spiritual things (like pride or anger) so that they can follow the lead of the Good Shepherd. 🐑 We love being able to watch our kiddos as they choose to have the same sacrificial heart of Jesus in their everyday lives! 💖

It’s a short week, but the crafts continue! ✨ Our students are bringing John 10 to life by making Good Shepherd scenes and personal books of the memory verse. 🐑 They keep these crafts, and His word, with them so that they always know that Jesus’s sacrifice was the result of Him loving them so much! ✝️❤️ We are blessed to see our kiddos express themselves with lifted spirits and smiling faces! 🥰

Our students are starting off craft week by coloring meadow scenes, painting handprints, and making Shepard necklaces to serve as a reminder that Jesus’s sacrifice is always covering us and His love follows us everywhere we go! 🐑🎨❤️

Happy Friday! We are ending our Good Shepherd lessons this week. 🐑🎉 The students reviewed the memory verse and Bible passage (John 10), and tested their concept mastery with a game of Kahoot. Our kiddos then celebrated the end of the week with games and playtime in the gym. Thank you Lord for allowing us to complete another week of growing in our minds, bodies, spirits, and hearts! ❤️✝️

Today our scholars discussed ways that they can emulate Jesus as the Good Shepherd through their actions.🐑🎭 Whether acting out scenarios to show how a “good shepherd” would respond or decorating sheep gates with traits of a good shepherd, our students are learning to lead others with friendship, kindness, and consideration; just like Jesus. 💖✝️ They finished the day with a game where students played either a wolf, shepherd, or sheep. 🐺🧑‍🌾🐑 The students then had to decide whether to save their sheep from the wolf like the Good Shepherd (John 10:11) or run to the end by themselves like the Hired Hand (John 10:12). What a day full of faith and fun!

“I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep” (John 10:11).

We are learning about the Good Shepherd this week at Voice of Hope! ✝️🐑 Our students practiced their memory verse (John 10:11) by running in a relay to
rearrange the words of the verse in the correct order. They also used circle time to practice math skills by solving problems about wayward sheep. This teaches them that the Good Shepherd cares so much about His flock that He will lay down His life for them and seek them out to protect them. We our so proud of our scholars’ work so far week!

That’s a wrap on our craft week! 🎨🎉Today we finished up our displays that demonstrated the separation between an environment covered by God’s protection vs. not. Our kiddos also labeled things in their life that they felt were protected by Jesus as the Gate compared to things that the felt Jesus protected them from. 🛡️

We are so proud of our scholars’ work this week as they continue to pursue a deeper understanding and connection with Jesus’s Love. ✝️❤️ Check back with us next week as they explore Jesus as the Good Shepherd!

Today, with the help of our volunteers: Mr. Hinton and his mother Mrs. Hinton, we worked on reading comprehension of Jesus as the Gate (John 10). Our students continued to craft their displays of various gates and keys to remind them that God’s protection covers us all and that Jesus is the only way to receive that coverage 🛡️❤️.

We concluded our day with a word of prayer 🙏. We are beyond blessed to have the opportunity to watch our students grow in their knowledge and in their faith! We are also grateful that our students know, you are never too little to learn how to talk to Jesus. ✝️

Our Jesus is the Gate craft week continues! Our littlest learners incorporated a math focus with their crafts by counting the cotton balls used to make sheep plates and by solving math problems that were written on gate images.

Our oldest scholars continued working on their Gate displays by completing the “safe side” where the sheep are able to find abundance and pasture. Additionally, they listed areas and people in their life that Jesus has protected by labeling the sheep and flowers in their sheepfold. 🐑🌸 We can’t wait to see how the Lord opens the gates of their minds to creativity and closes the gates of their hearts to protect His word resonating inside them! ❤️

Our students are expressing their love of God and their understanding of the Bible content through arts & crafts! 🎨🖼️ They decorated different sheep gate displays to understand that the Gate serves as a barrier to keep God’s Love and Grace inside and the thieves and robbers, that intend to harm, outside (John 10:8-10).

We love watching our students have fun while understanding that Jesus’s protection provides us life to the fullest! 🛡️🐑 Stay tuned to see what our scholars create this week. ✨✝️
