Wouldn’t you love to have Jesus’ peace? He never got worried. He never panicked. Well, if you have received Him as your Savior (more on how here), He now lives inside of you and He offers His peace to us in difficult times! Sometimes He calms the storm and sometimes He calms the child, and sometimes He does both! Maybe He seems to be asleep so that He can share His peace!

When God seems asleep during your life's scariest storms or cancer battles, He offers His unwavering peace and power to calm the storm.

How do we truly forgive someone?
Drop a 🙏 if you're ready to let go of past hurt. Here's a four-step process that might just change your life.

1️⃣ Recognize what was lost -- Forgiveness isn't about forgetting or minimizing pain
2️⃣ Remember that God's strength is bigger than any pain you carry. That perspective shifts everything.
3️⃣ Release the debt — stop trying to collect it or wish hardship on the offender.
4️⃣ Pray for their blessing--ask God to bless those who hurt you. It sounds hard, but it’s the key to true freedom. When you forgive, chains fall off — emotionally, spiritually, and physically.
Are you holding onto something that’s weighing you down? Maybe it’s time to start this healing journey.

Remember: we forgive because we've already been forgiven. Ephesians 4:32

Some folks think they have every right to hold a grudge over someone who has hurt them. But are grudges wise? Our loving Creator has strongly cautioned us against harboring unforgiveness toward anyone. In this Stronghold Ministry In His Grip video, Joe Fornear lays out why we help ourselves to forgive others. Joe draws on his own experience of forgiving when he was fighting Stage 4 melanoma cancer. We can find true freedom from the damages and losses of our hurts. Even if we are fighting cancer, we need not waste energy on the hurts that surely come with the battle.
