How cool is this!? I wrote a story on Officer Chris Douglas for Focus Daily News a few years ago - he’d often dress up as Captain America to visit and cheer up sick kids in the hospital - and tonight his final sign off from Police work was highlighted on national news (with Tom Llamas) as his 21 year old daughter officially closed out his Police career. And Chris was just offered a full time Youth Ministry position at his Cowboy Church. Amazing! I loved interviewing him and we’ve been Facebook friends ever since. A true man of God. A terrific husband, father, police officer and now minister. God Bless him! He’s definitely a Superhero! And his daughter has followed him into the Air Force. Amazing family. 🦸‍♂️🤩💪😎

I love Valentine’s Day! Any excuse to dress up in red or pink and hang out with my good friends (on and off the tennis court!) It may be pouring in Dallas today but … tomorrow starts our TCD Tennis season and it should be perfect weather for our first match! ❤️🎾❤️🎾❤️🇺🇸

SHOUT OUT to Destiny Wagner, one half of the EdTech Nerds team, who has helped me immensely with my tech questions and problems. She and Kris Thurston will be presenting seven workshops at the TCEA 2026 Convention this weekend, Jan. 31 through Feb. 4, where thousands of educators will gather at the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center in San Antonio, TX, for the much anticipated 2026 TCEA Convention & Exposition. This five-day event offers a comprehensive lineup of sessions, keynotes, and networking opportunities tailored for educators from all backgrounds.

Spent Christmas day with alumni of my alma mater West Virginia University. We’re a long way from there - in miles and years - but stories of our college semesters sure brought us back 💪😍🤣and enjoying the across-the-street colorful outrageous display of Christmas decorations was hilarious. Apparently the local HOA has no rules limiting this sooooo the more, the merrier! 😳🙃🤣🤪

Join me in making a difference in Dallas! My Altrusa (Altruism +USA) Club of Dallas members meet twice a month to help others.
