NEW Ride: NEW members Juanita DeLoach and Tracie Bedeaux were up and out early, making the most of a beautiful morning with a fantastic ride—two laps around White Rock Lake! They kept their enthusiasm and powered through, then headed for a quick bite and debrief. Juanita and Tracie will reconnect for the Dallas Bike Ride in May. On International Women’s Day, The NEW Roundtable, Inc. supported Kandace Walter, producer of the documentary “A Law Unto Themselves.” The film honored trailblazing women like Rhonda Hunter, DeMetris Sampson, Hon. Carolyn Wright-Sanders, Hon. Sarah T. Hughes, Louise Raggio and others. Their stories serve as powerful reminders of the resilience, brilliance, and leadership of women in the legal profession.

The screening brought together a strong showing of NEW Roundtable members including Juanita DeLoach, PhD, JD, Amber Hamilton Gregg, and Tiffany Johnson, who served on the documentary committee, and Crystal Moore-Mitchell, LaCrecia Perkins, KoiEles Lomas, Tasheena Byrd, Britney E. Harrison, Jasmine M. Tobias, and Ashley Jones Wright, all gathered to celebrate these legal trailblazers and continue the mission of empowering, impacting and influencing women in law.

NEW at TMCP: The NEW Roundtable, Inc. members attended the annual Office of Minority Affairs - State Bar of Texas Texas Minority Counsel Program (TMCP) in Austin, Texas. The conference featured a general counsel panel, roundtable discussions, keynote speakers, CLEs and great networking opportunities. TMCP’s mission is to increase opportunities for diverse attorneys.

This year’s conference theme is “Welcome to Level 10: Reaching NEW Horizons.” We continue our mission of fostering a space for growth, empowerment, and collaboration. We will have trailblazing discussions featuring some of the most accomplished attorneys and speakers.
