The Writer's Garret Earth Day Book Swap

Hey everyone! The Writer's Garret presents Dallas Is Lit! Literary Festival next week! Dallas Is Lit! is 20 events this year that take place in venues all over Oak Cliff! Take a look at the line-up and RSVP to events that you would like to attend! Some events are ticketed, some are free. There are adult events and family friendly events. There are even multi-lingual events! So many poeple have worked so hard to make this festival a reality for the second year in a row. My event is the Book & Auther Fair at Turner House next weekend on Saturday the 18th. There's live music, food trucks, a raffle that it live now (you can go to the event and see the items), book related vendors, authors, and the Dallas Public Library will even be there! Please come out to the some or all of the festival events! Dallas Is Lit!!

Hello everyone! We echo the sentiments if Oak Cliff Earth Day and believe that they've said it well. Book Swap is postponed this year, not only because of social distancing, but also because we are not comfortable asking for donations from already struggling small businesses. Please stay safe and we'll be in touch!

Messaging from Oak Cliff Earth Day:

"Hello Oak Cliff Earth Day participants,

Just a heads up.

We will be sending out an email later in the week, regarding the coronavirus & the City’s current ban on gatherings. What this means is Oak Cliff Earth Day cannot be held as planned. We hope we can just postpone, but depending on what the City decides on extending the ban, we may not be able to. Various news sources indicate that the country is expected to be shut down a couple of months at least.

Our entire country will need to work together in getting beyond this crisis.
Be safe…and please look for an update from us toward week’s end.
